Feedback and workshops
A session puts selected questions from the map in front of your team. There are two formats:
| Format | Use it for | Question needs |
|---|---|---|
| Written feedback | People answer on their own time, in their own words | Any question |
| Live workshop | The team votes together, then discusses the results | 2 to 8 voting options |
Contributors only need a phone or a browser and a personal link. They do not need an account.
1. Prepare the questions
- Open the project and select the Map view.
- Open an item and select the Questions tab.
- Add the questions you want to ask. For a live workshop, enter 2 to 8 Voting options, one per line.
- Link the evidence that helps people answer. Linked evidence is shown to participants.
Pick questions where accounts differ or where nobody knows the answer. See Workspace and projects.
2. Invite contributors
Only an Owner can invite.
- Open People in the sidebar.
- Select Invite.
- Enter the Name and Email, set Seat to Contributor, and select Reserve seat.
- Copy the personal invitation and send it to the person.
The invitation reserves a seat until it is used or revoked. See Team and billing.
3. Create a session
- Open the project and select the Sessions view.
- Select New session.
- Enter a Name.
- Choose the Format: Live workshop or Written feedback.
- Under Questions, tick the questions to include. In a live workshop, questions without 2 or more voting options are disabled.
- Select Create session.
The agenda is fixed when you create the session. Later edits to the map do not change it. The session shows the map revision it was created from.
4. Send each contributor a link
- Open the session.
- Select Invite.
- Choose the Contributor and select Create link.
- Copy the link and send it to that person.
Each link belongs to one person and one session. Creating a new link for the same person revokes their previous link. Revoke a person’s access from People at any time; the change applies on their next action.
Run a live workshop
- Open the workshop and select Presenter view. Show it on the shared screen.
- Ask people to scan the QR code in the presenter view with a phone camera and enter their name. They do not need an account or a seat. Contributors can also open their personal links. Everyone who joins appears by name in the room list on the facilitator’s screen.
- Contributors tap a response. They can change it until you reveal the results.
- Select Reveal responses. The board shows counts for each option, with no names.
- Discuss the results and the linked evidence.
- Select Vote again to repeat the question after discussion, or Next question to continue.
- After the last question, select Close workshop and confirm.
Names are shown only to the facilitator and are deleted a day after the workshop closes. Select the refresh icon next to the QR code to issue a new link: it stops further joins, and people already in the room keep voting.
Voting works on phones. Facilitating, presenting, and reading results work on a desktop browser.
Collect written feedback
- Send the links as above. Each contributor opens the link and writes an answer to each question.
- Open the session in the workspace to read the responses under each question.
- Select Close form when you have enough responses.
Responses appear without names or timestamps.
What the results mean
- A vote shows what participants think. It does not decide whether work is needed, and it does not produce a verdict.
- Results are counts only. Exports contain no participant names or identifiers.
- Closing a workshop saves its results. Temporary ballots are deleted 24 hours after closing. A workshop left open expires after seven days and keeps its aggregate results.
